Glory

Are you giving God glory?

Psalm 19:1 “The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”

Step outside today and revel in the amazing handiwork of the Lord. The leaves are changing and painting a beautiful picture of God’s creativity. They tell a story of God’s ability to create unique things and his ability to bring about change.

He does this for each of us as well. We are all created differently, therefore we will have a different purpose, different opinions, and different ideas. That is a good thing! Imagine if we only got to eat one kind of ice cream for the rest of our lives. Chocolate may be my favorite, but it doesn’t go well with peach cobbler.

He also has the power to bring about change in our lives. Just as the leaves change colors from green to yellow, red or orange and then finally brown and fall to the ground to nourish the earth; we are to grow and transform and die to self. The result will be we nourish those around us. As we do this we bring glory to God.

How will your beautiful, unique self bring glory to God today? Will you declare it? Will you proclaim what He has done for you? Grab your Bible and read it, so that you may grow and nurture those around you.
