I love beginning a New Year. I think I love it because it is an opportunity to start with a clean slate. As I reflected on 2011, I was amazed at how good God has been to my family. A safe arrival of a new baby girl, older children staying healthy and doing wonderfully in school, and a husband who works hard to provide everything we need beyond just the physical.

Yes, God is good and his mercies are new every morning. (Lamentations 3:22-23) So, if 2011 was not the best year for you, be encouraged maybe 2012 will be better. Whatever the New Year holds for you and me, we have a God that loves us and wants the very, very best for us. Let’s start this year off right and spend some time in His word.
