Pray

Over the ‘past two weeks I have shared thoughts about God’s general purpose for our lives. First, He has a plan and it is a good one. Second, for you to discover His plan, you have to come to Him and pray to Him and He will listen. Third His plan includes that we love Him and others and that we live holy lives.

“But what about His plan for ME?” you ask. Unfortunately we can’t google our specific purpose. From Jeremiah 29:12 we know that we must seek Him. Discovering our God-given purpose involves spending time with God. Jeremiah 33:3 encourages us to, “Call to me and I will answer you and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

If you are a believer in search of His purpose for your life, most likely you have already prayed and asked Him to reveal it. So…keep calling, keep asking, seeking, and knocking. Don’t stop until the plan or at least your next step is clear. God has a plan and it is good. Don’t think for a second that He doesn’t want to include you in it.
