Wisdom

When driving somewhere for the first time I almost always seek out directions. Sometimes I even print them out from Mapquest or enter them in the GPS. I react the same when I receive a new task from the Lord. I ask more questions to get further instructions. I want wisdom to know how to move forward. James 1:5-6 states “If anyone lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea blown and tossed by the wind.”

As you start a new purpose or mission try not to run ahead of God. Seek His wisdom to know what to do at each step. Then don’t doubt, ask questions, but don’t doubt His answers. Seek out the Scriptures and move forward, even if it is hard. His purpose and your fulfillment are at stake.
