Slightly different…much worse. That could be the title for Treatment #2 or “Thank goodness Christ goes with me.” You pick your favorite title. The chemo is working and the tumor continues to shrink however, the side effects are on the increase as well. It reminds me of the Israelites as they wandered in desert for 40 years. They complained no matter what they had. God provided manna they wanted meat. God gave them meat they wanted water. I’ve decided I’m a lot like them. I want the chemo to work but, hold the side effects please. Unfortunately, that is not how life works. I covet your prayers. It’s been a rough week but, it’s getting better. Because I don’t believe in dwelling on the negative.
I’m Thankful for:
1. A God who answers. May I only ask for what he truly wants me to have.
2. My incredible family! Thank you Hayden, Coleman, Grace, Rachel, Mom, Dad, Elizabeth, Michael, Julie, Caitlin, Brennen, Logan, Jimmy, Marsha, Jeremy, Jennifer, Kate, Andrew, Brad, Caroline, Owen, and Carson and aunts, uncles and cousins too. WOW! I am blessed. Thank you for your faithfulness to pray, send cards and texts. I am so grateful to be a part of these wonderful families.
3. Friends who rescue the day with incredible prayer times, timely phone calls, precious cards and gifts, the wonderful meals, taking my kids for play dates and so much more. You ladies amaze me!!!
God is good. For those who doubt, “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.” Psalm 34:8.
