Cancer and Sin Have a Few Things In Common

This morning is cancer removal day. Surgery awaits me. As I was praying God reminded me of some of the similarities of sin and cancer.

  • Cancer causes death if not removed. Sin causes death if not forgiven.
  • No one wants to hear either word yet, both need to be talked about in order to bring life.
  • Neither can be healed without intervention.
  • With cancer the best you will get is remission, because doctors can’t tell when it might come back or if it will ever leave. Sin is always in our past and temptation is always in our future.

But with sin complete forgiveness can be ascertained. Not by our own strength but, by trusting Jesus as our Savior. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His One and Only Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”

I am praising Jesus today. My healer for so much more than just cancer. He is almighty and I pray that you will know Him well today.
