Several friends have asked how my goals for the year are going. We’re almost to the half way point and 2015 will soon be rolling towards the end. Thank you friends for the accountability. Quiet times have been daily and God is teaching me to be thankful. There is so much to be thankful for this year. I don’t usually share my kids cute moments but, this one really applies to my point.
Rachel, Coleman and I have a tradition of praying on the way to school. One particular morning Rachel began by saying “Thank you God for the boo-boo on my finger and my toe.” Now my four year old is not super spiritual but, she knows that we thank God for everything. That Thursday her boo-boo was on her mind. As she finished Coleman said “I think she meant to say something else.” which led to a great teaching moment.
I Thessalonians 5:18 “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” What are you thankful for today?
The writing goal has been more difficult but, a deadline for a newsletter article has been met recently and I will have some extra writing opportunities this fall. God is good. He never leaves us alone to figure things out. He’s always with us longing to share things with our spirits.
I thank the Lord for new vision and for continuing to work on me as I grow in him.
