Sessions two and three of chemo were not what I expected for two reasons.
1. I didn’t have the same nurse either time. So the person I thought God was sending me to share with didn’t even work near me on either occasion. Just proving once again that my plans and his are not the same.
2. I didn’t get nauseous on the day after. I had not had that experience before and even though the nurses had said that I wouldn’t be too nauseous in all honesty I didn’t believe them.
I am thankful for no nausea. I am also thankful for the two ladies I did get to spend time with at chemo. The Lord allowed me to be encouraged and I hope they were as well.
I have written multiple times about 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” I don’t believe that we can ever be too thankful so, here are a few other verses that hopefully will cause us all to have an attitude of gratitude today.
Psalm 118:29 “Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.”
Psalm 28:7 “The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults and with my song I shall thank Him.”
Psalm 92:1 “It is good to give thanks to the LORD and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;”
Psalm 95:1-2 “O come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.”
What will you thank him for today?
